Hello, whenever I try to connect to a US server I get the following message:
you can't connect to filtered server
Is there any way to connect to the US servers?

which ip range do I need to delete?

Look at you own serverwindows -> serverlist

Or deactivate the serverfiltering in your eMule setup.

deativating serverfiltering brings nothing... only deleting the ip-range from ipfilter works...
but it is not recommend to connect to such a server!!

one short answer why I never let people connect to an ipfiltered server:
to get a high ID your ports must be open. The server checks this by connecting to you. Now if an ip is at ipfilter, it means that we refuse every connection try from such a ip. This means you would always get a Low ID when conneting to a ipfiltered server. And because this makes no sernce and is confusing people I better do not allow such a server-connect but bring a warning.

Xtreme Mod - High resolution icon ^^
 

Hi

Xtreme Mod is the best mod in the world, but I don't know why it have a slow resolution icon. So I put the icon in the desktop of my PC and looks terribly bad, so bad you prefer to hide it ^^

So I wished someone could do a decent icon, that fit better in high resolution desktops 96 x 96 pixels... I think that's the standard for high resolution icons (not sure)

After my NickName there it is something type "UlOD...." Or however something of fellow.... it's normal ?

Yes, that's perfectly fine and is caused by a feature to prevent bad mods from stealing your precious nick name. ;)

Is there something with Xtreme that is misreporting the DL/UL modifier as it effects AvgQR? I am ULing an average of 70 KB/s and there are individuals that maintain their position in the queue ranking even though they are apparently not uploading anything (as reported from their client details). Or am I misreading the Scores section assuming that it is displaying the relative ranking of the client and myself? If so could this be implemented so that we could get some kind of predictive credit system so that we could better manage what to download and when?

Need urgent help:

Whenever i quit emule when downloading files, the files are gone when i start emule again.... Why does emule delete the files on startup (they are in the temp folder when shut down, but gets deleted when it starts)

never heard about such an issue. and emule never deletes files... when a file get finished it's only be moved to the incoming-directory.

Happens every time... Strange :P

Failed to use new received public key
 

I've seen this message quite a few times in the Servers.Verbose listing:
"x/xx/xxxx nn:nn:nn nm: Failed to use new received public key"
Is this important? If so how do I fix please.

if you receive it only a few times everything is normal.

I received 5 in one hour is all I found. This would be "only a few times". Therefore everything is normal.

Any search in eMule. I can't search more than 1800

When i search something in GLOBAL method the max value is 1800(or a bit higher).
And i can't go on to press MORE button. It becomes lightgray.
So, my question is WHY IS THAT!!!
Why emule do not want to search more when he reach such value!!!!!!

the server send the flag which enable the "more" button. So it seems to be a redtriction of the server.

first of all, compliments for this mod, i use xtreme since 2 years ago...simply wonderful!
my question is: what is the right way to update xtreme mod from an older version to the latest?
now i use 5.3.1, can i mantain my settings overwriting only .exe? or you suggest to overwrite all files?

I recommend this way.

most times there are also other files updated.
e.g.
- the ip-to-country.cvs which holds the information which IP belongs to which country
- the ipfilter.dat which includes the bad ip-ranges

I recommend to replace all files which are included at the rar-archive. But most time (when no major update is done = update from the emule base version) it is suffcient to replace the exe file.

After couple hours of working xtreme 5.4.1 crashes with this error:

It looks like russian language ... as Xman said "official russian and hebrew translation files have a crasherror" use another language meanwhile.

Morning all. I live in South Africa where our bandwidth is capped and our ports are shaped, so I have to be sure that I get a fair amount of download vs upload. Currently I am finding the opposite There seems to be more uploading than down loading. Any advice as to the bes settings?
I am using emule 0.47c with extreme 5.4.1. I have the download set at 96 and upload at 16.

fionab, first take a look at the ->eMule Xtreme Mod official homepage<- Homepage (settings). Are there more question afterwards then give us your current settings (bandwidth capazities and limits, hard limit, max.connection, found sources, too much connection, router?)

bandwidth capazities and limits,512kb limit shaped, 5GB bandwidth limit a month
hard limit = 500
max.connection = 400
found sources = (is this global sources if so = 5319)
too much connection, ? not sure where to find this?
router = Dlink DSL-G604T

Sry to say that a volumetariff is not really usefull for a effectiv eMule runtime. You better use an other p2p client, maybe the torrent.

If you still want running eMule my proposal for your settings are:
The upload limit something between 4-6 kbyte/s and therefore a downloadlimit between 16-24 kbyre/s (four times the upload limit).
And all time keep your traffic volumen in your mind.

Found sources and too much connection you can see at the statistictree (transfer->download->session->...). The too much connection should always keep on zero. Try it with a few well spread files with no more than 2000 found sources over all.

edit/ and you should configure your router (portforwarding) that you get a high ID in your eMule (can you see at the info window).

Server busy
 

Some time ago I start getting a message "Server Busy
This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem."
Searching the web I get that someone relates the problem to spyware or other virus related things, I have already check my system and is virus/spyware free, other ones relates the problem to Ole bindings problems. Can any one help me to solve this problem, it's very annoying because it's takes between 3 and 5 minuts to start eMule extreme, and if I not in front of computer (clicking in 'retry' or 'switch to' buttons dialog) emule don't start.
Pleas help. :-x

Are You using UPNP ? Which OS do you use ? How many files are you sharing ?
Did you also try the official emule ?
