I have a quick question. Is the latest emule 0.47c xtreme 5.4.1 compatible with Windows Vista 32bit?

yes and no.
It works under vista.. but there are a lot problems to solve. Please search on the forum of emule-project.net to get more infos about emule and vista.

I don't have upnp enabled, the OS is WinXP, the shared files: I do share about 80 divx movies, I think that's the problem so I stop sharing that, but the problem still there.

hmm... the emule start can take up to a few minutes if you have a slow computer (most time needs the parsing of ipfilter.dat).. but I never heard that such a message appear.
Is there anything abnomal in windows event viewer ?
And please also test the official emule.

If you start the Xtreme you should look at your taskmanager if any task use 100% CPU time and which programm don't response.

I think that the speed is not the problem: I have a AthlonXP 2ghz with 1gb ram.
The problem is not new: Official eMule-Board > Emule Displayed Server Busy Dialog Box, I try to start later but it do the same.

I use the 5.4.1 version, and I like it very much !

A very little problem however: I've got a (Kad only) downloader from Brazil, Xtreme says, but when I paste the given IP in a whois ( Whois lookup and Domain name search ) it says Israel !

Or maybe do I miss something ?

i just found up this;

so i switched 1:3 to global source limit on the connection settings, and its fixed...

I have been using this mod for a couple of years withought problem, but this latest release seems to be spiking my CPU.

I have ghosted back to an old image 3 times and of course the xtreme version on the imageg is old. My PC Runs well till I update to the newest version then suddenly my PC gets locked up pretty bad.

is this only with 5.4.2 ? What was the last Xtreme version without this problem ?
And please enable verbose log and tell me what is printed there when this happens.

Not 5.4.2 Was the last version B4 that that was giving me so many problems. I cant tell you what 5.4.2 is doing yet. I havent updated yet.

your posted loglines don't show a bug of emule but indicates that there is something wrong with your system.

I have a problem. I also use Xtreme emule for a... mmm, I guess it was version 4.8.2, when I ran it for the first time.

But for a couple of last versions I've got a nasty bug causing Xtreme emule just to crash anytime. In the current version it even asks to make a dump to help resolve this problem.
In the last version it happens too often. And the crash happens without any matter. Please, help.

did you send the dump to me ?

btw. there is no known bug at Xtreme. All dumps I received were either created by any dll file or are related to the official emule code.

After a one year hiatus from Emule i have decided to get back into it by trying out your highly recommended Mod. So far i have found everything i need except for A4AF options.

I usually like to get tv shows and put them in categories with the download in order option. That way they usually complete in order. I cannot find this option in this mod, has it been removed?

You have to aktivate at the extended options "Show more controls". After that you get at the content menu to a dl the entry "Source Handling".

I am having problems, all working connected ok. high id, i have upload 30 kb, and download 300 kb, and when I add 5-6 files extreme emule freezing, every few seconds stop for 5-10 seconds and goes again and all the time? what is fix for this? I have 512 mb ram, p4 2.6 ghz .... thanks, only running nod32 and emule, pc only for emule

make sure you exclude your emule-temp-folder + config-folder from scanning with nod32.

Only config and temp dirs? Will try.
BTW where I do that? I did in that of AMON setup. Is that ok or I need to do something else?

BTW files are big 6-7 giga's
I turned off completely nod32 and cpu goes sometimes to 100% and freezes only

I recentlly installed Windows Vista and since then, my uploads are 0... The download speed is the same, but the upload speed is 0. Users appear in my qeue but it stays always 0...

Hiya everyone

I have been using emule for about a year and have only recently started using the briiliant xtreme-mod, but ever since i started using xtreme i have found that i am getting a larger amount of corrupted files than usual when the file is hashing at the end of the download.

I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem and whether anyone has worked out a way around this problem?

make sure you set a proper upload limit.. and also make sure, you disabled NAFC (NAFC doesn't work with vista until next version)

I didn't noticed such things. Maybe you are downloading some file, where bad clients are spreading corrupted parts.

Xman, my upload limit is set on 20, and the capacity also on 20, and the upload slot is 4.

The option NAFC Full control is deactivated unde Xtreme1 options.

Is everything ok?

hi im also having loads of trouble with corrupted files , i'm not sure why but its always worst with movie files,,, as i hardly ever get other files being so constantly corrupted and constantly re-downloading and staying corrupted!!! ,,, the pc doing the work is solely for d/l >w2k,xp3200 1gig ram a separate drive for each different p2p network so mule incoming and temp are on a drive together formatted ntfs i dont defrag this drive(downloads do get moved to another drive)(i sometimes empty the drive and reformat it as well) and no av running with pc startup
I am wondering if its all down to malicious peers sending corrupted data and should i be running peergaurdian or some other similar software?

This ip-filter is used by many users and if this doesn't help I would think that the files you are downloading are fakes.

i do use the ipfilter function already, have done for a long time! the corrupted files preview fine and are what theyre ment to be so i know im not dealing with fakes just a LOT of corruptions , i have managed to use donkey doctor "test met" with the .met backup's and get 1 or 2 of the files fixed it seems like met files are being corrupted!!!

btw im using 0.47c xtreme 5.4.2 with the antileech updated whenever theres an update available

btw2 this problem isnt exclusive to xmod ive had it with other mule clients but i do find i can run the d/l's with emuleplus and it sometimes manages to get the downloads completed -> a bit quicker!!!

Do you get errors when you import the downloads into another mule (Tools --> Import Downloads)?

no ive never tried importing them , i just have the different clients using the same temp and incoming folder!!!, (i dont even try running more than 1 client at a time)

Ok, more than one mule is usually senseless but to use the same folders for different mules isn't a good idea.
I would suggest to make a clean install of your favourite mod and import the downloads to the new temp-folder using the import-feature. And if you want to switch between different mules always import the downloads. This way you don't waste space on your hdd and probably will never have problems like these again.
