If you are using Vista then you have to search your config folder - it might not be the one you selected! Read this help entry: eMule-Project.net - Official eMule Homepage. Downloads, Help, Docu, News...

If you activated "Update server.met on startup" in the prefs then eMule tries to parse the addresses.dat in your config folder and downloads a server.met file from one of the addresses listed there - if you do not have that file you can either create it or disable that option and the message will disappear.


Apparently this is the Xtreme section - not MorphXT!

MorphXT isn't derived from Xtreme.

Minimize to tray was disabled in the official eMule client for Vista with Aero simply because it doesn't seem to work there (yet).

You will notice that I said I switched FROM MorphXT, with an implication of having switched to to Xtreme.

This is the case.

As for the minimize to systray - if it is broken in Vista Aero, why does it work in another mod? Special code? in such a case I might make a feature request for inclusion.

I might try merging whatever code MorphXT uses then, because it was definitely working, at least here. Although this possibly due to BlackBox 4 Windows.

morph code is not capable of that either. it is official code and problem.

I haven't looked at so I cannot argue whether a difference exists, I can however tell you that if I switch back to MorphXT latest minimize to system tray will start working again. Or at least, it was 8 hours ago, and nothing else has changed in my system since then.

I don't remember claiming better knowledge of the code over a modder.

I can however confidently tell you that if I load MorphXT instead of Xtreme and enable minimize to systray in the options, minimizing the application will send it to the system tray and out of the task bar.

Having laid down these facts, the question remains, can anything be done about it?

I cannot claim knowledge of why this happens. But I can tell you it does. I could take screenshots, but since you seem to believe I'm lying/trolling how would those help - easily doctored.

edit: we are talking about the same thing yes? enabling the minimize to tray option in xtreme makes me unable to minimize the application at all, enabling it in morphxt makes it work as expected?

the handling is identical. if you are not getting same results it is due to improper and thus unidentical settings.

Well, can't argue with that.

I guess I'll do more digging and testing and try to figure out what crap is going on.

How show the country flags in emuleXtreme?

I am sorry for my poor english. I have a problem: I have downloaded the emuleXtreme 0.49b v7.1. After to run it, I discovered that the country flags icons do not appears at the side of server names. How can I enable them? Anyone can help me? Thanks!

Should work by default ...
Do you have the files countryflag32.dll, countryflag.dll and ip-to-country.csv in your config-folder? If not copy them. If yes I would try a clean install and import the downloads.

Can not search using Xtreme 7.0/7.1/7.2

I have a great trouble to search, using Xtreme 7.0/7.1/7.2. Every time I try to search, it just can not finishing search without any result. I have checked my firewall settings and everything is fine.

What kind of search? Server-based? Check your serverlist, there are only 3 (!) legal servers out there if one can trust peerates - or simply use KAD.

Hi everybody,
lately i've done a clean install of Xtreme 7.2 on my PC (running XP SP2).
The mod works great except for this little visualization issue that bothers me:

As you can see, the percentage size of clients file is smaller than the one pertaining to the file i'm actually downloading.

So, how can i increase the percentage on clients progress bar?
I'm running out of options, please help! :cry:

Please note that the option 'Use narrow font in transfert window' is not checked; checking & unchecking it isn't useful as well!

Im using XtremeMod for a few years now, but i still dont know what kind of settings are perfect for my connection (2048/512).

What values should i use in upload limit, max connections, hard limit and xtreme I,II settings?

My download is around 250KB/s and upload is 64KB/s.

Hello. I don´t check if is a problem of 0.50 official o a thing of Xtreme 8.0 but when you shutdown emule and next day restart it some of previosly completed chunck of 9,28M apear as a full gray chunck and is necesary download a few KB for se it full black. The efect is produced in many files (aparently not all). Is a big problem when the file have few complete sources, also but you need complete block and next block not complete the 9,28M limit. I expected do have explain the problem correctly. Bye

Which Win2k compatible mod version controls upload slots?
 

Hi, I saw in another thread here that windows 2000 support has been dropped for the emule 0.50aXtreme 8.0 mod. Any idea what the last mod is that will run on Windows 2000? I know Windows2000 can still run the unmodded version of emule 0.50a, but the mod I really want is to limit the number of upload slots, it seems like I get way too many upload slots when I set my upload speed to 2mbps. I seem to recall a mod had better upload slot control but I don't remember if it was Xtreme, MorphXT, or another mod. I see in the FAQ for Morph XT it asks why the upload slots can only be set from 60-255,when the asker wanted to set upload slots to 5. Actually about 20-30 upload slots would seem about right to me, even 60 seems like a lot. It seems like there was a mod that gave better control over upload slots but if it's not Xtreme or MorphXT I don't remember which one it was, I've tried a number of them but it was a long time ago and I don't remember. Any idea which mod would be best for controlling the number of upload slots, and if it's Xtreme or MorphXT, which version do I need to go back to so it can run on Windows2000? (I have all the newer operating systems but I still like windows 2000). Thanks and regards, Ace
