Liste der Anhänge anzeigen (Anzahl: 1) Hi everybody. Did you ever asked yourself those questions ? In a search many times they are files with the same file name and size only the amount of sources is different (usually many with 1 or 2 sources and one with more). When you are waiting for a very rare file from one source only, if there is another client with “no available parts” this mean that it is requesting that file too. If you are lucky to get it first you know that the other client will be in your queue very soon, but some times this doesn’t happen. Last example, I don’t want to annoy you ! In a search you get twice the same file one in green (downloaded "not realy") and one in red (shared). With Xtreme (tanks Xman) it is possible to browse the known.met (downloaded history) and to put some order in it. The attached image shows some examples. I think this happen when you receive a damaged file, emule recovers it and gives it a new ID. It may look like a "bug" but it is great how it is because it creates a duplicated entry and you can see the original ID in case you want to redownload that file (anyway it’s simpler than having a flag / field showing that the file was recovered). Some words about corrupted files : recently a client was giving me a damaged file the only way I had to prevent it was to cancel that download when this client was in the sources. At the time I wasn’t using Xtreme and couldn’t stop it, I also didn’t have “Funny Nicks” to quickly identify it. Some thing simple could be done to reject a source for a file (kept in memory, valid only for that session). Bye, Alain. |
when I try to import my downloads this is the message I get unknown or bad format of temporary file |
Warning!--a messege was showed when i logged on server it showed me like that 'Warning! DonkeyServer No2 - CP949 (Korean locale) filenames converted to Unicode UTF-8. Please use an Unicode ready client. (eMule 0.46c for example)' last time i log on , there wasn't any warning messege ... i really don't know what happened... can any one help me ? |
Unless you don't use an ancient version of emule you can ignore the message. Kind Regards aalerich |
So instead of just removing the link like a decent moderator would PATHFINDER you removed the whole thread:clap well thanks for ****all. |
If I had removed the whole thread, how the hell would you be able to still write a post in it? After all it was you who violated the board rules, so at least have the descency to admit that. --> 5-day-ban for pissing me off on a sunday. |
Help please, corrupted xtrememule Hello First of all, sorry by posting in english, but I need help and I don't know where I could post, and thanks for ur attention! Yesterday I opened Xtreme Emule (last ver.) and suddenly it closed (I had done nothing special, no connected, nothing that I can remember). Next time I tried to open it, this message is show to me: http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/8614/errorhd5.jpg I had generated the file and emailed to there email account, but I understand that the dev. group of this mod is working and had no time, so I post here for getting help of anybody! The fact is that I had saved the emule folder since years (saving from formatings, etc) only installing updates of emule (last times, only xtreme mod) and I'm scared of lost my credits ;( (many GB uploaded, thurst me!). So I apreciate all help for solve this problem! The generated dmp file is here: http://netvibes.box.net/ping/downloa...96e8fb000fa23e Thanks in advance for the help! I apreciate ur help! |
You can save your credits by creating a new directory, installing emule completely new in it and then copying the files clients.met cryptkey.dat preferences.dat from the old config-folder to the new one. You can keep your friendlist by copying the file emfriends.met. Kind Regards aalerich |
Where I can check if my credits are correctly applied in the new emule copy? thanks in advance! |
Look for some clients in your upload or queue you have already shared with. If they are secure identified everything is fine. Kind Regards aalerich |
I think that something is wrong, cause in the stadistics only appears 200 know clients...: http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/7430/200pr5.jpg The fact is that the "corrupted" file must be one on the config file. If I can know what is, I will use my normal emule and only overwrite these wrong file. Salud and thanks! |
you should delete the files, aalerich mentioned. Of course you will loose your credits... but it´s better than to upload with bad identification and not gain credits anymore. |
ooh my credits :( another solution? I was using these credits for... 4 years aprox. tons and tons of Gb shared :( |
The problem of chanante's has appear in my PC.I have emailed the file to emulextreme@yahoo.de ,but nobody tell me how to solve the problem,so I have to re-install emule xtreme. What an Unfortunately thing! |
Zitat:
I think that the corrupted file is the preferences.ini Confirmated: If you only overwrite the preferences.ini the "bug" is solved. I'm searching (comparing a original preferences.ini with my corrupted one) the errors that supossely it contains. Edit 2: I had upload the result of "compare files" on textpad: http://netvibes.box.net/ping/downloa...0f1447d7e5cda6 I can't see any relevance for make crash emule xtreme... |
