Hashing of .partfiles

Greets!

Could someone please tell me why my mule is hashing .partfiles that do not exist?

http://motionthings.net/img/mule.gif

This happens when I have no active downloads at all!

Other than that this is by far the best edonkey client out there...

Upon an crash of eMule (or the whole system) it can happen, that some part- or part.met-file is corrupted. It stays in the temp folder, but its not displayed in the Transfer window.

If you're not having any downloads running, you should just remove all files in the temp folder since they all must belong to dead downloads.

Hola aNub15,
Inside the Transferwindow the last action that was done is shown to you.
Take a look at your "Log" under the Button "Server" and check out at what Time and Date that Action was done.
Maybe it is just an older generated Information.
But I am not sure at all if this is a kind of possibility, sorry.

and check out if you are not using any filters at your transferwindow. (rightclick at the "all"-tab)

aNub15 11. January 2007 09:23

Thank you all for quick reply...
Nothing in the logs or any files in my temp dir.
And no filtering of my transfer window.
I was afraid of some p2p virus or something along those lines.
But from your replys it does not look like this could be the case.
I'll sniff some traffic from it and se if anything strange/unwanted is happening.

Thanks...

Uploaded parts not corresponding to uploaded amount

Hallo, good folks.
Thank you for this great mod. There's a problem that might be a bug.
I hope it was not already mentioned.

See for yourself:
http://ghanilog.free.fr/parts.gif
All lines are corresponding to the same file, with a 600MB size.
The area covered on bars for uploaded parts for both 37.09 MB and 1.43 MB (Mo is french)
are the same although there's quite a difference! ;)

Thanks !!!
Michel

I don't see a bug.. the value you pointed, is your complete uploaded data from all your files/emule-sessions to this client.

hilarion 21. January 2007 17:53

Thanks Xman.

hilarion 22. January 2007 08:43

Me again. Sorry! ;)
There's still a problem... See bellow:
http://ghanilog.free.fr/parts2.gif

it's impossible to have 128 KB uploaded (green box)
and the corresponding upload graph bar (a 600 MB file).

There's a little problem somewhere...

Xman 22. January 2007 17:47

why it should be impossible that you only uploaded 128 kb to this client ?
There can't be a bug.. because what you see is the value of the clients credits... if there wouzld be a bug the whole creditssystem woudln't work correctly.

hilarion 22. January 2007 19:59

For sure, there's somerthing I don't get!

Xman 22. January 2007 22:58

it's the same value official emule displays at client details... but be careful.. at clientdetails upload/download is exchanged because of an other point of few.

Why emule xtreme is trying to do a POP3 connection?

My eMule 0.47c Xtreme 5.4 is trying to do a POP3 connection to 84.112.72.224:110. The connection did not succeed, but why it happens?

Greetings,

Vidotti

Because eMule use accidentaly selected Ports. Thats against the Port blocking from some Providers.

Your Xtreme is using the standart email communication port, for example. There is no problem!

(Soory for my English, i hope you anderstand it :D)
