eMule 0.48a Beta 1

About 0.48a:

Time goes by and eMule grows up. Soon our beloved eMule will become 5 years old and too keep it fit and healthy a new version is beeing prepared. Now we ask you to help us finding the hidden bugs so it becomes a shiny 0.48a in the end

The mainfeatures of this version are

First step torwards Vista by fixing most glitches and problems Vista had with eMule and by this also support of multi user installations (for all OSs)
Support for UPnP
A spam filter for search results
Several GUI improvments like smiley support for IRC and messages :angelnot:, nicer file tooltips and so on
And as always fixing several bugs and adding other small changes

For all the details, check out the complete changelog below!

Win9x users only:
The following has to be installed on Win9x/ME only -- it enables the Unicode functionality for eMule on those OSes.

Naja, ich warte auf eine Mod von Xman oder so. Die normalen Versionen haben ja leider kein AntiLeech oder IP-Filter.

Was mich immer wieder erschüttert, ist die traurige Tatsache, dass User, die elend lange dabei sind, in Deinem Fall, 08.2003 und hier 145 geposteten Beiträgen, so einen Nonsens von sich geben.

Selbstverständlich verfügt auch der Offi, über einen IP-Filter und das allerböseste wird auch gefiltert, bzw. fällt dem Creditsystem zum Opfer.

Aha, das wird ja interessant! Seit der 0.47c ist ja schon etwas Zeit vergangen.... Habe jetzt aber keine Zeit was zu testen, klingt aber interessant...

Ist ja vergleichsweise wenig passiert in der Zwischenzeit, aber schön das es größtenteils nur GUI-Fehler gab.
Hab übrigens gerade schon den ersten Betatester in meinem Upload gehabt

ich freu mich schon auf die final und natürlich dann auf den stulle

auch wenn ich zur zeit einfach zu nichts komme

die beta hat einige interessante neuigkeiten finde ich. dachte eigentlich dass man am offiziellen nichts mehr macht weil es ja sehr ruhig wurde. wie man sieht man wird belehrt

Jaja, erriner mich auch noch an Zeiten wo es ca. alle 2 Wochen eine neue Version gab

Aber eMule ist ja mittlerweile schon so vollgestopft mit Funktionen, dass man da nicht mehr viel machen kann/sollte.

was ich am offi tragisch finde, ist das eigentlich nur noch eine person an dem ganzen ding werkelt und das ist "some support" oder im changelog besser bekannt als "."
ich denke langsam sollten sie vielleicht mal ein paar modder fragen ob die nicht mit einsteigen wöllten.....dann gäbe es evtl. öfter neue versionen und besseren support......die kehrseite des ganzen wäre dann das evtl auch einige modder wieder zum streiten kommen durch ein antileech system.....am ende müssens die offiziellen wissen was sie tun.....aber eine person an so nem ding werkeln lassen finde ich nicht unbedingt gut......

was den x-ray angeht.....der wartet erstmal auf die final + mods.....dann fang ich an mit mergen da ich die implementierungen nicht 2mal ändere die von anderen mods kommen

ich hoffe mal das die upnp probleme noch verschwinden dann iss das mal wieder eins der updates die sich lohnen...

Wozu? Das Credit System in Kombination mit geringer Slotgeschwindigkeit und keiner Möglichkeit die Warteliste zu umgehen (Powershare etc.) reicht völlig. Ab einer gewissen Anzahl an Downloads kommen fast nur noch Leute in den eigenen Upload, welche auch was gegeben haben. Erst bei Dingen wie Powershare oder Multiqueue kommt einfach der nächst beste Client in den Upload der dann ein Leecher sein könnte.

Außerdem haben Antileecher-Systeme alla Xtreme ohnehin keine Zukunft mehr da die Bösen sich schon längst nicht mehr zu erkennen geben.
