This version includes some modifications to our consolidated ReleaseBar, more flessible Save/Load Source, a new function to copy statistics to clipboard, fixes for all known bug of enkeyDEV.4, two brand new modifications: ICS and L2HAC. More on this in this post.

(Moved to 0.27c codebase)

New in this version:
- Lowids automatically callback highid users in waiting queue (no need to use the server, after first callback).
- Protocol extension: Reask time exchanged (for best auto-callback efficiency & compatibility with non-emules).
- New chunk selection rules, depending on source number. Faster spreading for releasers.
- Protocol extension: Not-empty-chunk list exchanged (for better chunk selection).
- Now you can activate/deactivate SLS. See tweaks preference panel.
- You can now instruct SLS to be activated only for files with a certain number of sources. See tweaks preference panel.
- You can select how much sources SLS should save (values from 1 to 10). See tweaks preference panel.
- ReleaseBar is now present also as a column in shared files list
- ReleaseBar is activated by default for every new file. You can always disable it.
- Close search-tab buttons are now XP theme-enabled
- eMule can read broken ed2k link from clipboard.
- Statistics can now be saved to clipboard (all or only selected).
- Show compression in upload queue. [Tarod]
- Changed upload file priority: more usefull for releasers.
- A4AF sources shows on tooltip what file a user is enqueued.
- Changed MINWAIT_BEFORE_DLDISPLAY_WINDOWUPDATE from 1 sec to 3 secs.
- Removed Change Output directory.
- New skin added: "enkeyDEV WinSkin" based on Windows XP information pop-up.
- Italian Translation of the official eMule Help file . Press F1 to see it when eMule is started (only in the installer version using Italian language).

Fixed in this version:
- Intelligent Spread and ReleaseBar now works with 0.27 codebase.
- Some skins could be never hidden after first show event. Corrected.
- Memory leak when clicking a Superlink for already completed download (or a shared file). Corrected.
- Some other minor fixes.



ICS (Intelligent Chunk Selection)

The mod defines a source-based selection algorithm.
- with a MINIMUM number of 3 or less sources for each chunk it sets the file in RELEASE mode,
- with 4 to 10 sources for each chunk, the file is in SPREAD mode,
- with more than 10 sources for each chunk, the file is set in SHARE mode.

In RELEASE mode chunks are selected in the order:
- rarest chunk
- less downloaded chunk
- shortest-to-complete chunk
- random chunk
(the first/last chunk preference is totally ignored)

In SPREAD MODE:
- shortest-to-complete chunk
- rarest chunk
- less downloaded chunk
- first/last then second/penultimate chunk (if selected in preferences)
- random chunk

In SHARE MODE:
- shortest-to-complete chunk
- first/last then second/penultimate chunk (if selected in preferences)
- random chunk

In release mode the priority is to select the rarest and less downloaded chunk, in spread and share mode is to finish a chunk to make it sharable.
In share mode rarity is ignored.


L2HAC - Lowid to Highid Automatic Callback
A simple idea to avoid useless server load: when a lowid user enqueues a highid, it's useless the latter asks the (common) server for a callback request every 21'40".
This mod makes the lowid connect to the highid automatically every time without waiting for the server callback.
It works as well with most of not-modded-emule-clients: every time the not-modded highid try the connection, it finds itself already connected and make the request immediately without server callbacks.

This gives:
- less server load (the AVERAGE server callbacks avoided are between 4 to
- better lowid UL (if the lowid changes server, the highid is kept on queue and constantly updated)

Does it work? Some statistics (over about 100000 tries):
- L2HAC connection successful: 92%
- Reask received: 85%
Most of failure is due to clients with a non-standard reasktime value (21'40")

Hallo,

wer kann mir einmal Informationen über diese Version geben, denn meine Creditsfile werden nicht eingebunden und bei mir ist nach 3 Stunden überhaupt kein DL vorhanden. Auch macht der UL sehr heftige Schwankungen.
Sollte sich jemand erbarmen, danke ich schon im voraus.

Hast du vorher schon mal eine 0.27c benutzt?
Das Format der clients.met wurde seit der b geändert und in der c wird ausschliesslich nur noch das neue Format verwendet.

Hallo,

vielen Dank für das Antworten, aber ich habe schon mehrere Versionen 0.27c
benutzt und hatte eigentlich nie Probleme mit der clients.met. Wenn einmal der inweis kam, dass ein neuer client.met erstellt werden muss, habe ich einfach eMule geschlossen und meine Sicherung eingespielt, dann war alles wieder in Butter. Aber in dieser Version wurde ja überhaupt nicht auf die client.met ein-
gegangen, als wenn sowas nicht benötigt werden würde.
