Emule hängt sich beim starten auf!! Warum?
 

Hallo,

habe mir vorhin die version eMule0.23b-Tarod gezogen. BEim ersten starten gabs noch keine probleme habe dann die einstellungen geändert und denn eMule noch einmal geschlossen. Als ich es jetzt wieder starten wollte läd er die serverliste und danach gammelt emule ab! Warum??? Kann mir wer helfen?

ja, kann dann nurnoch über Strg+Alt+Entf Emule beenden!

Also es tut sichgar nichts mehr!

Schliesse eMule und lade dir die selbe Version nochmal runter und wenn es wieder nicht geht heist das,dass es beschädigt ist!Oder versuche deinen Computer neuzustarten und dann machst du eMule auf und guckst nochmal und wenn das wieder so ist machst du es einfach nochmal indem du eMule neu saugst :wink:

Which Windows-version do you have? Win98?

I personally have Win98 and I have the same problem (with eMule-versions 0.23a, 0.23b, 0.24a and 0.24b). With version 0.22c and older this problem didn't occur, but with those versions, however, I had several other problems...

The only workaround that I found, is to remove the SERVER.MET file from the eMule-directory prior to starting eMule, in order that the server list will be completely empty. And then you can refresh the server list again from within the programme.

Hey I got the same problem (Win98/0.23b Tarod 11e but it's the same w/ all clients since v23).

Try hitting ctrl-alt-del right after the serverlist has loaded, wait for about 5 seconds, then hit cancel --> emule starts working fine ;)

Nochmal in Deutsch: strg-alt-entf drücken nachdem die Serverliste geladen wurde, 5 Sekunden warten, dann auf abbrechen und schon macht emule was er soll.

Schreibt mal ob's bei euch auch so funzt ...

Sometimes this works, but most of the time Windows crashes with the error message that there aren't any resources left. I suspect eMule of seriously leaking memory...

give the emule 0.24a 1 a chance, it didn't crash under win me!

while test some beta versions i found some reasons the cause a crash....

try to remove/rename the server.met
try to remove/rename the gui.dat
try to remove/rename the shareddir.dat

it's also importend to remove every file in the temp dir, except the .part and .part.met

damn i forgot, the 0.23 code problem with win 9x/me was the known.met...

so you have to remove/rename that file, but that means that every time you run emule that you have to hash your files again and again...

i repeat, emule plus 0.24a 1 haven't this problem (win me) ...

and the versions too, but they got other problems, like a crash if you try to watch your shared files (files window, "dateien")

Könnten wir hier auch das in Deutsch übersetzen?????

dazu kommt das viele begriffe eh aus dem englischen 1:1 übernommen wurden/werden ... ich denke sachen wie download und upload sollten jedem klar sein :twisted:

Absturz
 

Hallo zusammen,

um mal so zum Thema zurückzukommen...

Kann es sein, dass die static-sources den ganzen Ärger mit dem Absturz verursachen???
War wenigstens bei mir mal so - einfach die *.stsrc im Temp-Verzeichnis gelöscht und alles lief bestens.
