emule v0.42e sivka v12e7a how to clear cached search

hello fellow sivka users,

pls accept my apology if this is german only board. perhaps someone would be kind enough to redirect me to an english forum if there's one for the answer to my problem.

my probem is how to clear the cache of previous searches, revealled when you click on the down button. i tried to the cache, both in the registry and emule file folder but could not locate the area where this information is kept. i used win xp pro. maybe i am looking at the wrong place. i would appreciate if someone could offer help or advice regarding this.

The searchstrings are kept in AC_SearchStrings.dat located in the ../config/-folder of emule.

You will find english support probably in http://forum.emule-project.net or other forums. Just google.

Hi and welcome to our board,

in addition to the solution presented by Frizz you can press CTRL+DEL for the same effekt or press the "Reset"-button located in the "display"-section of the preferences.

Thank you Frizz and Pathfinder for your advice. Both suggestions worked, but Frizz's required emule re-starting to effect the change whilst Pathfinder suggestion did the job on the fly.

Is there a way to put this advice on the FAQ or help for future reference of other newbies?
